What Is Endodontic Treatment?
Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal therapy, is one of the most frequently performed procedures in restorative dentistry. It involves removing infected pulp tissue from inside the tooth, thoroughly cleaning and shaping the root canals, and then sealing them with specialized materials. This allows the tooth to be preserved — one that would otherwise require extraction.
In our clinic, every procedure is performed under full isolation using a dental dam. We use state-of-the-art equipment such as the RAYPEX 5 for precise canal length measurement and the TCM Endo III endomotor for canal preparation. This ensures that our treatment is effective, safe, and comfortable for the patient.
Indications for Root Canal Treatment
Endodontic therapy is necessary when:
tooth decay extends deep into the pulp,
pulp necrosis or gangrene occurs,
mechanical injuries (fractures, dislocations) affect the teeth,
inflammation of periapical tissues develops.
Failure to treat such conditions can lead to serious complications: abscesses, fistulas, severe pain, and even systemic infections. Root canal treatment saves teeth and protects the overall health of the body.
Microscope-Assisted Treatment – Precision and Effectiveness
Our procedures are performed using the LEICA M320 dental microscope, which enables visualization of even the narrowest root canals. Treatment under a microscope guarantees precision, high effectiveness, and long-lasting results.
Re-Endo – Retreatment of Root Canals
Sometimes, a second root canal treatment, known as re-endo, is necessary. This is performed when irregularities occur in the initial procedure, such as:
- an uncleaned canal left untreated,
- a leaking or incomplete filling,
- a broken endodontic instrument inside the canal.
Re-endo involves removing the old filling material, thoroughly cleaning, and refilling the canals. Although this procedure is more complex than the initial treatment, it is completely painless thanks to local anesthesia.
Tooth Restoration After Root Canal Treatment
For a tooth to function properly for many years after endodontic therapy, proper restoration is essential. We use modern fiber-glass or zirconium post-and-core systems, ensuring durability and a natural aesthetic appearance.
Why Choose Our Clinic?
Modern equipment (microscope, endomotor, electronic measurement tools),
Painless procedures under local anesthesia,
Effective tooth preservation even in complex cases,
Experienced endodontic specialists.
